The most useful websites....and how to use them.

Quizlet.com

Quizlet is a digital flashcard website. Use quizlet to learn new vocabulary from our chapters, listen to pronunciation of words in Spanish, play vocabulary games, and take practice quizzes. I highly recommend using Quizlet on a regular basis. Creating an account is not necessary, but if you do create an account it will be easier to quickly access the flashcard sets you want. Creating an account also keeps track of your studying history and gives you useful feedback on how well you've done. Also check out the app available for iPhones and iPads, it really is fun!

To find a flashcard set for your current chapter, you will enter our textbook name and level, and current chapter in the Quizlet search bar. For example, type "Paso a Paso 1 chapter 7" to search for level 1 spanish in the Paso a paso text book, chapter 7. You may get many results, but if you hover the mouse over each line, you can look at the flashcards to tell if it is the right set for you.

Reviewgamezone.com

Review Game Zone is a game website that makes reviewing fun. In order to use the site, you must either have a code from me that links you to the right game for the chapter (look in the chapter resources page) or you must search my first and last name to find all of the games I've created. Once you've found which question set matches your chapter, you can pick to "play" the questions in any of the game formats below. *A word of caution: there are many ads on this website, so look carefully before clicking on something. You may think you are clicking on the right game when you are actually clicking on something that will take you away from the review site.

Pasoapaso.com

Paso a Paso is the Prentice Hall textbook used in our course, and the website is named accordingly. It is not the fanciest or best website out there (this one is better), but there is value in using the resources provided by the textbook company. Keep in mind that resources are matched closely with class activities and quizzes and tests. After you've clicked on "student activities" underneath the picture of the Paso a Paso B textbook, select either "Internet Activities" or "Practice Test". Under activities, you will find additional writing and reading practice, as well as crosswords and even the vocabulary list. If you can do well on the self-test, you should do pretty well on the chapter test because the online version is more difficult.

Senorwooly.com

Senor Wooly is usually the source of the really funny and entertaining (and educational) videos we watch in class. However, as of this time I have not paid to have our own class account. You may visit the site and watch shorter, preview versions of the videos. Otherwise, try finding some of them on Youtube. If and when I pay to have access to the site, I will provide you with the login information to watch hilarious videos any time you want.
