September 22, 2015 Meeting - Focus on NMap

Once again, the turn out for the first meeting was great and we hope that everyone got
something out of it. As I had said, I will be providing you with some very good i
nformation to get you up and running with your own "sandbox" environment.
The Cyberaces Website will be a
wonderful place for you all to learn some vital information. It is all free and it is all
very relevant to the topic of cyber security.
There are two nmap cheat sheets below for you to practice with once you have set up the
virtual machine sandbox network.
The other file serves as a guide to set up your vm sandbox network. This is where you
will set up the attack and target machines to practice everything with.
Again, be careful when sending out attacks and if you have any questions, do not hesitate
to ask. Remember, google and youtube are your best friends for learning anything, also.
Although stuff like this can be a serious matter, and should never be done with systems
you do not own or have not been given permission to explore, it can also be very fun
when done right.
