-Jean-Paul Sartre

Hello! Welcome to my first official page. This page is for the public to know more about me, Daniel Rodriguez. I am a currently attending Lewis University with hopes to excel in engineering someday. I am a very independent and passionate person. I live in Cicero, Il and commute to school everyday. I work weekdays in the night for Harvard Maintenance. The rest of my time is dedicated to spending time with my beautiful daughter, Jaylanni Isabella Rodriguez, who I can honestly say gets her looks from me.

  • Forklift
  • Construction(air tools, electric tools, general tools)
  • fast learning and memorization
Some of my hobbies include:

  • Problem Solving
  • Construction

Enjoy the site!

My career interest.

When I was younger I never thought I would go into the sciences. I wanted to become a priest at the time, but as I got older I learned that would be impossible for me. A life of celibacy and service is not for me. I was attracted to the science field late in high school. It was then where I learned that I had a a passion for engineering. I have enjoyed building when I was younger and modifying as I got older. It only seemed natural to me to go into the field of engineering. I am a sophomore at Lewis University studying physics and many courses in the engineering program now and I enjoy my classes so far. I feel confident that I went into the right field and made the right choice for my career.

My Hobby of modifying cars

The next day after my 16th birthday I went to get my drivers license. I always loved cars and knew how to drive since I was 14. My first car was a 2000 Ford Expedition, which was handed down to me from my father. I learned to fix any problems the car had with the aid of Youtube and my dad's experience with mechanics. I quickly learned and finished preforming anything the car car needed. However, I kept wanting to do more. I looked up simple modifications to do on cars, searched around for the pros and cons of the mod and finally attempted it on my Expedition. The following mods where done on the Expedition to the best of my memory...

  • Got's mod(bigger intake)
  • Magnaflow stage 2 exhaust
  • interior lighting
  • Sound System
A year ago I traded my expedition for a 2002 Ford Explorer. I held back on modifying the Explorer because I purchased another car in November 2012. I bought a 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye. Since it is new, I am holding back any performance mods due to voiding my warranty. However, that did not stop me! I still did some work:-) I have the following mods done on my Dart:
  • Plasti-Dipped Rims
  • Painted Calipers
  • Door Sill Guards
  • K&N drop-in air filter
  • LED parking lamp conversion
For information on mods or looking to do some mods of your own? I recommend
Mighty Car Mods, they are great!

Computer Components: My MacBook pro review
I use a Apple MacBook Pro. I have used some HP laptops before and switching to Apple this time really won me over. the picture is very clear and crisp because of the 13in Retina display with Intel Iris Graphics. The (2560 X 1600) pixel display really gives it a high performance graphics sense. The laptop is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Dual-core i5 processor. Which can be turbo boosted to run at 2.9GHz with a 3MB shared L3 cache. The laptop runs very smooth due to Thunderbolt 2: a 20Gb/s bandwidth that reads at 775MBps. My MacBook uses a pCLe based flash storge with 128GB internal storage and 1600MHz memory DDR3L onboard memory. The laptop is meant to run at 50-60Hz with a 9hour battery life on a full charge. The MacBook comes with 2 thunderbolt 2 ports, 2 USB 3 ports, a SDXC card slot, and a headphone port. It has a very efficient Wi-Fi system to the point where my classmates cannot connect to my school Wi-Fi, but I can. This is thanks to the 802.11ac Wi-Fi! My MacBook also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 which allows for more distance than most laptops. Not to mention the amazing Apps and software installed on my MacBook. I have OS X Maverick installed with comes with iCloud. I feel Secure using iCloud to store my credit card information and data because it comes with a 256bit AES encryption! My Mac also includes a Facetime 720p HD camera and noise reducing speakers. It comes installed with airplay and a App store to get anything I will ever need. With its slim design, backlit keyboard and very light weight it is a perfect student laptop.
